The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received credit from the World Bank toward the cost of the Water Supply, Sanitation & Hygiene Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Civil Works, Supply & Installation of Pipes & Fittings and Supply and Installation of Electromechanical equipment for Sire Town Water Supply, Sanitation & Hygiene Project.

The Oromia National Regional Government Water, Mineral and Energy Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for execution of the works that include construction of 1000m3 service reservoir, auxiliary Buildings, public fountains, supply & installation of Sire collector and transmission pipe and fittings, supply & installation of distribution pipe and fittings and associated civil works, and design review, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of electromechanical equipment for Sire water supply & sanitation project found along the main asphalt road running from Addis Ababa to Nekemte through Ambo Town at a distance of 280Km from Addis Ababa. The intended completion date for the whole of the works shall be 540 (five hundred forty) days from the start date.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 11 revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Oromia Water, Mineral & Energy Bureau, One WaSH National Program Implementation Unit and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 8:30A.M. to 5:30P.M at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 800.00 (eight hundred) or US $ 29.00 or its equivalent in freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be in cash or Cashier’s Check or direct deposit to Oromia Water, Mineral & Energy Bureau’s local currency account number: 0171640493200, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before September 6, 2018 at 10:00A.M.Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on September 6, 2018 at 10:30A.M.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand) or US $ 18,000.00 or in a freely convertible currency in the name of Oromia Water, Mineral & Energy Bureau.
